Agent Remuneration and Student Costs

Before choosing a course, it is important to understand not only tuition costs but who pays the education agent.

Standard support costs AUD 0

Students pay MEGAPOLIS AUD 0 for standard education and admissions support. A written agreement defines the scope. Free support does not mean free tuition, unlimited applications or every additional service.

Who may pay remuneration

MEGAPOLIS may receive a permitted commission from an education provider or application intermediary for a student’s enrolment. Amounts, eligibility, timing and conditions depend on the relevant agreement and applicable requirements.

When presenting an education option, we disclose relevant provider or intermediary relationships and known conflicts of interest. Recommendations must consider your goals and circumstances, not commission alone. A course appearing in the catalogue does not itself establish a direct agency agreement with its provider.

Commission is not permitted in every situation

The ESOS framework and National Code regulate remuneration. Onshore transfers are subject to restrictions and a ban on relevant payments, with specified conditions and exceptions. Do not assume every transfer or new enrolment generates commission eligibility. The Department of Education publishes current guidance.

Costs the student may pay

Separate costs may include tuition, provider charges, OSHC, language tests, translation and certification, visa charges, flights, accommodation, transport and agreed additional services. Known recipients and payment purposes should be clear before you decide. Wherever practicable, you pay the supplier directly.

Before submitting an application, we ask you to confirm known expenses. An unconfirmed amount is not a final price. Welcome Support and related transport costs are agreed separately in writing.

An additional paid MEGAPOLIS service is not activated automatically. It requires a separate written agreement and must be permitted by applicable rules and partner arrangements.

Refunds and questions

Agent commission and student payments are separate matters. Refunds of third-party payments depend on law and the agreement with the recipient; commission arrangements do not replace your refund rights.
